The short version: Saachi does not collect your personal information. Your journal, reflections, and check-ins stay on your device. We cannot see what you write.
Who We Are

What We Collect
Saachi is designed to collect as little data as possible. Here is exactly what happens:
- What you share: When you use features like Today's Wisdom, Today's Prayer, or Krishna's Guidance, the text or mood you submit is sent to our backend server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate a story, lesson, reflection, or prayer. It is sent anonymously with no name, account, or identity attached, and it is not stored on our servers after the response is returned.
- Device identifier: We use an anonymous device-level token to authenticate your requests to our server. This is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID. It is used only to prevent abuse of the AI service.
- Session metadata: Aggregate, anonymous usage statistics (number of sessions, response times) may be logged for performance monitoring. These are never linked to your identity.
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your Apple ID or any account identifier
- Your location
- Your device contacts, camera, or microphone (unless you use voice input, which is processed entirely on-device by iOS)
- Your browsing history or activity outside the app
- Health data
Where Your Journal Lives
Your journal, including every reflection, prayer, virtue practice, mood check-in, and streak, is stored exclusively on your device using iOS local storage. It is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service. If you delete the app, your journal is permanently deleted. We have no copy of it.
Third-Party AI Processing (Anthropic)
When you generate personalized content in Saachi, the text or mood you provide is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI via their API. Anthropic processes this data under their own policies as a commercial API customer relationship.
Key facts about Anthropic's API data handling:
- Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models
- API data is not retained beyond the active request under their commercial terms
- Your input is sent without any personal identifier

Notifications
If you turn on daily reminders, the reminder time you choose is stored on your device and used only to schedule local notifications. We do not send your reminder preferences to our servers.
Children's Privacy
Saachi is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has shared information through Saachi, please contact us at admin@theleoapps.com and we will take appropriate action.
Data Security
All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Device authentication uses short-lived JWT tokens. Your journal data is stored using iOS standard encrypted local storage.
Your Rights
Because we do not collect personal information tied to your identity, there is no profile to access, correct, or delete. Your journal data lives on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app at any time.

Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Continued use of Saachi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
